Dr. Stephen Katz
Dr. Katz attended the University of Maryland School of Medicine and completed residency training in Internal Medicine at
Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in 1992 when he also earned board certification in Internal Medicine. He was an assistant clinical professor of medicine at the University of Maryland Medical School for several years in the 1990's when he also served as internal medicine residency program director, teaching medical students and medical residents. After several years of teaching, he earned a fellowship in the
American College of
Physicians, awarded to those who have made a contribution to academic medicine or research.
Dr. Katz has been in private practice in Severna Park, Maryland for five years. His interests include preventive cardiology, lifestyle modification to prevent chronic disease, and the evaluation of complex, multisystem diseases. He maintains hospital privileges at
Anne Arundel Medical
Center.
Dr. Katz is married, has three children and lives locally in Severna Park. He enjoys boating, refurbishing automobiles and boats, running and cycling.

Dr. Elaine Arata
Dr. Elaine Arata attended the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the
University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. She has been board certified in Internal Medicine since 1980 and achieved the certificate of Added Qualifications in Geriatric Medicine in 1994. She was a clinical instructor in medicine at the
University of Colorado for a year and then began her private practice.
Dr. Arata practiced for a number of years in Colorado Springs and Pueblo before relocating to Maryland in December of 1993. She had an office in Annapolis from 1994 until moving to the Severna Park site in January of 2004. She enjoys seeing adults of all ages beginning at age 16 with a particular interest in preventing disease and in optimizing health when multiple chronic conditions are present. She has hospital privileges at Anne Arundel Medical Center.
Dr. Arata is married with two children. She enjoys bicycling, hiking, skiing and a good joke. |

Elaine Crain, NP
Elaine Crain worked as an emergency room nurse for fifteen years before training to become a Nurse Practitioner. She received a Masters Degree in Nursing at
Bowie State in 2001. She is board certified as a family and adult Nurse Practitioner. She teaches nursing students at Bowie State University and the University of Maryland.
Elaine has interests in dietary counseling for diabetes, weight loss and cholesterol reduction. She is available for urgent visits, well woman exams, and lipid counseling. She is available for home visits on a limited basis.
Elaine has lived all over the country and currently resides in Arnold, MD with her husband. She is an avid sailor and competes in sailboat racing in Annapolis.

Dr. Holly Eyler-Yeatman
Dr. Eyler-Yeatman graduated from Bucknell University with a BS in biology. She then worked at the University of Maryland Cancer Center for several years as a research coordinator for clinical trials. At that time, she pursued a Masters degree in physiology from the University of Maryland. She then graduated from
George Washington University School of Medicine and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center in July 2003. During her residency, she focused on primary care medicine and prevention of disease. As part of her training, she cared for home-bound patients. Her senior case presentation related to long term care and treatment of cervical spinal cord injuries. She currently lives in Anne Arundel County with her husband and two boys. She enjoys cooking, exercising, reading mystery novels, and spending time with her family. |

Kristyn Lyons, CRNP
Kristyn Lyons is now working on Mondays and Wednesdays with Dr. Katz and Elaine Crain. And on Fridays with Dr Holly Yeatman. Kristyn will be available to see patients for urgent visits, follow up appointments, diabetic counseling, Coumadin adjustments, and well women exams.
Kristyn received her Bachelors of Science in Nursing at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia and worked for several years as a nurse in the outpatient setting. She later earned her Masters Degree at the
University of Maryland and became a certified nurse practitioner. Over her years in training she has worked in both the inpatient and outpatient setting and has broad experience in women’s health, geriatric care, and outpatient family medicine.
